Welcome to Prelude Photography’s  little description page,

I’m sure you’re busy because you’re, you know, planning an entire wedding . . . so I’ll keep this moving along.

What makes us stand out?  That’s what you want to know.

Yes, we’re competent, creative, friendly and all that. But most of the professional photographers I’ve met are.  What makes us different?

Four things:

Our Albums.  Our Personality.  Our customer service.  Our friends.

My favorite wedding event:  the bouquet toss (flying flowers, alcohol, a bunch of single girls, an audience and a camera that shoots 7 frames a second . . . we catch everything!)

ALBUMS. See our profile page for a bit more depth into albums, but basically if you’re getting an album through us, that is always on our mind.  We shoot for an album.  Changing angles, complementing shots, background shots, little details of the wedding for accent shots, and so on.  Each album is designed by the owner (that’s me, I’m Matt) with no templates and no crazy collage programs.  No two albums will ever look the same.  This is something you will be looking back on 40, 50, 60 years from now.  It should be amazing!  I consider them so important, we dedicated our profile page to them.

PERSONALITY.  Ours and yours.   We are very comfortable at weddings in both handling large groups for a picture,  or fading into the background to get genuinely candid shots.  We’re professional, cordial, prompt . . . and we’re funny.  (me more than Cory . . shhhh)  But really when we talk about personality we mean the personality of the shots and the album.  Of course we do the posed shots, it’s a wedding, we’d better; but for us, the excitement is in the hunt for the candid shots where the personality jumps off the page of the album.  Capturing who you are is in the heart of our work. 

My favorite wedding tip:  make a shot list for your photographer (even if it isn’t me), it will make everyone’s life better

OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE.  We’re fast!  Technology is fast, digital is fast, we’re just keeping up.  See your images within a week of your wedding!  You can have your album within six weeks of the wedding.  Our quality is superb.   The actual customer service part . . . emails are responded to, calls returned, promises kept.  We’ll take care of you.

My favorite wedding movie: The Wedding Singer (I’m an 80’s child, love Sandler and proof Billy Idol is still alive)
