All About the Wine
The Crush House is a state-of-the-art winery, wine bar and eatery. Housed in a

modern industrial facility, this chic, loft-like venue offers private dining areas and balcony seating with a fireplace.
“When Gervasi first opened, everything was housed at the Bistro – an upscale res- taurant on the upper level and the winery on the lower level. We quickly outgrew that space and built The Crush House, which offers winery tours, casual dining and a trendy wine bar,” Cardinale explains.
The second floor balcony provides spec- tacular views of the creek bed and south vineyard. For private events, the Vineyard Room accommodates 10 to 24 guests while the Indoor Tower Room and Outdoor Tower Room accommodate eight to 12 guests. The centerpiece of the Indoor Tower Room is a dramatic chandelier designed with more than 300 Gervasi wine bottles.
Winery tours and exclusive wine pairings are an entertaining activity for bachelor/bach- elorette parties, rehearsal dinners and other small gatherings. Gervasi offers 27 varieties of wine.
“Of the 27 Gervasi wines, three are estate wines created from grapes grown

in our own vineyards,” Cardinale says. “Seventeen are created from grapes and juice shipped directly from California, Washington, New York and other parts of Ohio. In addition, Gervasi imports Italian wines in partnership with wineries from the Piedmont region of Italy.
Gervasi’s best-selling red wine is called Truscano – Sangiovase, the vineyard’s tribute to the outstanding wines of Italy with hints of plum, black currant and subtle oak. The most popular white wine, Lucello – Pinot Grigio is light and crisp with layers of citrus and green apple.
Romantic Retreats
The Tuscan-inspired Gervasi Villas – an upscale boutique inn with six villas (each comprised of four unique suites) – are the ultimate in luxury. Named after a different region or city in Italy where the Swaldo family has visited, each villa has a shared living room and patio overlooking Lake Gervasi. The bride and groom can reserve an individual suite or the entire villa.
“The Gervasi Villas sit around the lake, providing stunning views of our lavish grounds,” Cardinale says. “Every suite is different, but they each have a comfort- able feel with rich colors, large floor mirrors, canopy beds and hand-selected décor from Italy.”
These amazing accommodations feature rustic fireplaces, heated travertine limestone floors, stucco walls and exposed beam wood ceilings. Amenities include flat-panel TVs, rain showers, heated towel bars and luxury soaps from Italy. In the shared com- mon areas, refrigerators are stocked with bottled water, teas and sodas. In addition, each room has a personal mini-fridge. Villa guests enjoy a complimentary Italian-style continental breakfast each morning.
To enhance their stay at the Villas, the bride and groom have the opportunity to order a variety of specialty items, such as floral arrangements, gourmet truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries and fruit and cheese platters. A variety of in-room spa and fitness services are also available.
