TL Worldwide Transportation
PAGE
In 2005, Nancy Brodie bought Thomas Limousine with only 8 vehicles. Now, they are known as TL Worldwide Transportation, with over 80 vehicles in their fleet. In 2015, they moved into Akron's historic 45,000 square foot Lockheed Martin/Goodyear Blimp building, to house and operate the third largest woman owned ground transportation business in the United States.
The company averages 105 runs a day and has over 130 employees. TL has over 13,500 accounts. The company transports mostly corporate events and weddings. They also transport most celebrities who come into the area. They are the sole transportation company for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They also transport for the LeBron James Foundation, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns, Ritz Carlton, Cleveland Clinic, Sterling, Smuckers, and the U.S. Air Force.
Drivers have an extensive two-week training, background checks, and drug tests. "Many of our drivers are police officers, firemen, teachers, and retired business men," Brodie stated.
TL is worldwide. "We have affiliates all over the world," stated the owner. "We will book around the world. If someone is going to Dallas, for instance, we can get them to Hopkins (Cleveland airport) and call Dallas. We have a company that will pick them up there."
